The name of a bright versatile business talent in the country’s commercial domain is Mir Nasir Hossain. Former President of apex organization of country’s businessmen FBCCI Mir Nasir Hossain achieved unprecedented success, through development plans stretched far in trade and commerce, industry, finance and insurance sector. In 1971 for liberation of motherland he, who took up arms into hands, after the end of war on the same hands he is carrying the flag to construct the country, highly educated possessor of polite character this smart personality involved him in socio-economic development of the country.

Born in an aristocratic Muslim family Mir Nasir Hossain is possessor of creative talent from the very student life. He passed M.Com with Hons in first class from Dhaka University.  Director of one of the large construction companies of Bangladesh Mir Akhter Hossain & Co. and also of Eastern Bank Ltd., this virtuous businessman held various significant positions in different times. He was elected President of Faridpur Chamber pf Commerce and Industry (FCCI) for five times for the terms 1984-85,1985-86,1988-90,1992-94,1994-96. He was elected Executive Committee Member for 4 terms 1984-85, 1985-86, 1994-96, 1996-98 of FBCCI famous as the Parliament of the businessmen of the country. He was the Chairman of Election Board of FBCCI for 1986.He was the Executive Committee Member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the term 1998-2000.At present he is performing responsibilities as Member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Alongside business in social welfare work also Mr. Nasir Hossain has vocal presence. He was the first District Governor of Lions Club International District 315.He performed responsibilities as First Council Chairman of Lions Club 315 in the year 1997-98.Apartfrom that he is the Life Member of Bangladesh Diabetic Association and Red Crescent Society. A Member of   Dr. Zahid Memorial Child Hospital.

This skilled business leader in the mean time stirred up responses amongst all due to his simplistic roving and robust leadership in country’s trade and commerce. Considering his special contributions, Aurthokatha Board of Juries nominated him for the Top of The Year Business Leader Award for the year 2005-2006.
