A well-known name in private sector banking is Mohammad Lakiatullah. This expert banker is at present performing responsibilities as Managing Director of Jamuna Bank Limited. His professional life commenced in the year 1970, through his joining of State Bank of Pakistan. Later he joined United Bank of Pakistan. In post independence Bangladesh, this Bank was transformed into Janata Bank Limited. He was working as Principal Officer of this Bank up to   April 83. During the year, he joined one of the private sector banks, the National Bank. During his tenure at this bank, he performed many significant responsibilities. He gained promotions as Vice President of this Bank in the year 1987 and later as Senior Vice President in the year 1992.In the year 1996 he gained promotions as Executive Vice President of this bank. Prior to his joining Jamuna Bank he performed responsibilities as Managing Director of Exim Bank Limited also. In professional work he had trips to many countries including United Kingdom, Germany, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Nepal, Thailand, and Oman. Amiable, knowledge-thirsty, idealist and compassionate this banker personality was born in the year 1946 at a respectable family of Noakhali. In long professional career, Mr. Lakiatullah received many training at home and abroad. Higher Management Training of Deutsche Bank AG (Frankfurt, Germany) in 1978-79, Orientation Program at Standard Chartered Bank, Hong Kong; Trade Finance in American Express Bank, Singapore in 1998;In the year 1999 he concluded Overseas Bankers’ Workshop in Standard Bank, Taiwan. Apart from that he concluded Foreign Exchange Course in the year 1981 and Project Appraisal Course in the year 1982 from BIBM. He received training on Foreign Exchange Trading and Fund Management arranged by Grind lays Bank.
