From this Foundation, in addition to providing Tk.2000 a month to the students of remote areas of the country including Dhaka University and lump sum Tk.5000 one time per annum to purchase Books etc.; different creative and benevolent activities are encouraged and patronized. In the year 2003, Dutch-Bangla Bank made a most modern computer lab for the Department of Economics of Dhaka University, at a cost of Tk.15 lac. Apart from donating 25 wheel chairs for luminous sons of the country, the freedom fighters injured in liberation war, significant amount of money into the relief fund of Prime Minister and Jakat Fund, Bank extends the hands of aid at the time of any national calamity. These activities are run from deep sense of humanity. In this case Chairman of the Bank, Mr. Sahabuddin personally takes special initiatives.

Mr.  Sahabuddin Ahmed supposes there is no alternative to industrialization for national advancement. Keeping this objective ahead, to provide assistance regarding capital to the real entrepreneurs, Dutch-Bangla Bank floated Industrial Development Bond of Tk.50 Cr. in the year 2003. This is the first initiative of any private sector Bank. This can be considered as an instance to be imitated. The contribution, deep humanist, patriot, self-confident entrepreneur personality Mr. Mohd. Sahabuddin, is having in country’s socio-economic development, keeping commercial bank not only limited within commercial activities, is unique example in country’ Banking sector.
