A fast expanding institution in the telecommunications sector of the country is Warid Telecom International L.L.C. Muneer Farooqui joined as Chief Executive Officer of this Company. Prior to joining as CEO of Warid Telecom for about 16 years he worked in Engineering, Marketing, International Trade etc., He left marks of skills in Customer Services and Credit Management in Warid Telecom Pakistan. He was one of the important personalities in the area of launching Warid Telecom in Pakistan and was involved in policy making. Under his leadership, Warid commenced activities in Pakistan successfully. In Pakistan, prior to working in Warid Telecom, Muneer Farooqui was the Director of Customer Service Department of Mobilink. Apart from that he performed complete responsibilities of Customer Services of Mobilink. In schooling life, Farooqui obtained post graduate degree in Computer Science from America’s Preston University. As a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Muneer Farooqui is a personality holding multifarious qualities on philosophy of the institution, destination and setting of strategy as well as achievement of annual targets. His experience in global arena will help safe growth of mobile phone industry of Bangladesh. From 2004 to 2006, he performed as Chief of Customer Services Department of Warid Telecom Private Limited in Pakistan. In the history of Telecommunications sector of Pakistan, he was able to perform biggest responsibility in the area of customer service, by establishment of two most modern multi-media communications center for the first time. He has multifaceted work-experience. By virtue of wide work-experience, exceptional skill and promising leadership he was appointed as CEO of Warid Telecom International Bangladesh. He is able to provide leadership in any adverse situation due to his positive mindset, initiative and experience in different areas of telecom sector. Upto the end before joining Warid Telecom, he was the Director of Mobilink, Pakistan.  

In Bangladesh on January 2006, after taking up responsibilities of Warid Telecom, the company launched special package under his leadership. Under the leadership of Muneer Farooqui, Warid Telecom was able to lay-down own position in race with other two companies Banglalink and Grameenphone.
