Altaf Hossain Sarker is a well-known entrepreneur personality of the country’s textile sector. The firms of Rahmat Group of Industries established by him are Rahmat Textiles             Limited, Rahmat Spinning Mills Limited, Rahmat Plastics and Accessories Limited, China Plastics (BD) Limited, and Rahmat Composite Mills Limited. Alongside performing responsibilities as CEO of these firms he is also intimately involved with various institutions of financial sector. He is a sponsor Director of Dhaka Bank Limited. In 134th meeting of Dhaka Bank Limited he was elected as Chairman of this Bank. He is a founder member of Dhaka Bank Foundation Board of Trustee. Altaf Hossain Sarker is also involved with Insurance Sector. He is also an honorable Director of a general insurance company Express Insurance Limited. He is one of the members of Board of Trustee of Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB).He is a member of the Board of Directors of representative Association of textile sector.
