Aly Zaker, possessor of eventful, discussed colorful cultural life and extra-ordinary style in acting. Apart from being an actor, director, CEO of advertisement firm, he is a successful organizer and photographer. For long 27 years he photographed villages, rivers and nature. Exhibiting the same under the title ‘Balika’ took out fame from every quarter, group. Later, arranged display of all pictures based on rural countryside. This talented creative personality was born in Chittagong on 6th November, 1944. Father Late Mohammad Taher was a Deputy Commissioner of Districts. In relation to the same   Aly Zaker roamed around many districts of Bangladesh. Actor Aly Zaker received graduation with honors from Dhaka University in Social Science. Wife Sarah Zaker, happy family with a son and a daughter. Today, he is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Asiatic Marketing Communications Ltd., one of the largest advertising agencies in the country. He is also Chairman of MRC-MODE LTD, one of the largest Marketing & Social Research Companies of Bangladesh. He performed serious responsibilities of acting or directions in more than 1200 stage-dramas. Mr. Aly Zaker has adapted plays by Moliere, Brecht, Zuckmayer, Albee and Shakespeare, Chekov & Osborne which have been published as books.  He wrote two adaptations- Bertolt Brecht's 'Puntilla' and 'Rise and Fall of the City of Mahogony'. He performed in main roles of the dramas Dewan Gazir Kissa, Gallilio, Nural diner Sara Jibon of Syed Shamsul Haque, Bidagdha Ramanikul following Molière's  La Fassarvat, Edward Alvy’s Everything. Since 1968 he was associated with Nagorik Natya Sampradaya. Afterwards in the year 1972 he joined Aranyak Natyadal. Later returned to Nagorik and first drama on stage ‘ Buro Shaliker Ghare Ro’. Stage is his life. According to him, work of stage is the place of peace. Stage is his one separate pleasure and feeling. For that reason he prioritizes stage more. He acted in about two hundred weekly and serial drama and more than 50 radio drama. His talked about plays are adaptation and translation of plays by Moliere, Brecht, Zuckmayer, Albee and Shakespeare, Chekov & Osborne. Apart from that for television he wrote many basic dramas. Regular columns and articles are published in major newspapers and journals, also include adaptation and translation of a few plays of Moliere, Brecht, Zuckmayer, Albee and Shakespeare, basic compilation of articles “ Nirmal Jyoti’r Joy”, compilation of  literary drama articles and publication of books of remembrance titled “Ekattorer Kolkata”. During liberation war he made reporting on war fields. Apart from that he used to roam around different war fields, interviewed freedom fighters there and used to inform the people around the world. This artist has another side of fondness outside all including acting, directions, looking after advertising firms etc., In order to pass leisure time he seeks village and green nature. He likes the films of Aparna Sen extraordinarily. Amongst Bangla films, he is fond of Pather Panchali, Charulata, Kanchanjanga, Kabuliwala, Meghe Dhaka Tara, Suborna Rekha etc.

Likes John Ford’s amongst foreign movies. Peter Cook’s films amongst the movies of British film makers. He is fond of Matir Moyna and Antarjatra of Tareque Mausd. He likes to read articles mostly, after that fiction. He is very much fond of English books of the writers of sub-continent. The books, he is fond of reading again and again are  Padma Nadir Majhi of Manik Bandopadhya, Nacher Putul, Etikatha. For raising children he emphasizes freedom. Organizationally, Aly Zaker is a member of one of the main theatre groups Nagorik Natya Sampradaya, Vice President of International Theater Institute, Bangladesh Centre, one of the members of Bangladesh War of Liberation Memorial Trust, Board of Trustee of the Museum, Member of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, and full Member of the Market Research Society of U.K. He traveled abroad many times for personal reasons and acting in drama. He participated in three full-pledged theatre workshops directed by different specialists of U.K. and U.S.A. Apart from that he participated in Berlin Theatre Festival in 1974, traveled U.K. as invited by British Council in 1980, and inspected American regional theater and Theatre School as invited by United States Information Center in the year 1985. He received best Actor Award 1977 from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Critics circle of India Award for contributions in the field of drama 1984, for extraordinary contributions in the field of stage drama- Sequence Award of Merit prize 1984, Best Actor in Television Natya Sabha  Prize 1988. Apart from that he received awards as successful personality in drama world Kathakoli Prize 1989, Loka Natya Dal Medal of Honor 1987, Tarakalok Prize 1995, Best Character Actor in Television by the journal Jai Jai Din, Bangladesh Film Journalist Award in 1997 as best TV actor. Apart from that he received many more innumerable medals including Mahfuzullah and Jebunnesa Medal, Ekushey Medal, Medal of Honor in recognition of work throughout the life, Munir Chowdhury Medal of Honor etc.,
