The Department of Fisheries is the principal institution for the management and development of fish resources of Bangladesh.
Its activities are supported by two other organizations, namely, the Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation (BFDC) and the Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI).
