| Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) is the authority for planning, construction and operation of power generation and transmission facilities throughout Bangladesh and for distribution in urban areas except metropolitan city of Dhaka and its adjoining area. The distribution jurisdiction of PDB covers mainly the urban areas except the metropolitan city of Dhaka, where the distribution of power is vested in Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (desa). The rural electrification board (REB) performs this duty in rural areas. |
